Width of Stroke: 2"

Font to be used: BLOCK LETTERING ONLY

No script, Italics or calligraphy

Placement of Name: Port & Starboard Bow above WL

Placement (Reg. #): Amidships (Port & Starboard) above WL

Spacing: 1¬ľ" - 3¬ľ" between characters

Background: Contrasting colours to be used e.g. black lettering on white or yellow background

Application: All markings must be painted on the vessel.

SAFETY AND NAVIGATIONAL EQUIPMENT

·  Anchor & rope, cable/ chain at least 50m

·  Bailing container / manual bilge pump

·  2 Litres of potable water per person

·  Life jacket, suitable for each person

·  3 Red hand-held flares, not expired

·  8 Aerial flares, not expired

·  Emergency supplies of food

·  First aid kit, clearly identifiable

·  Compass, least 10cm diameter

·  Distress flag, accepted internationally

·  Radar reflector, mounted above the superstructure

·  Waterproof torch-light with spares

·  Bulb & batteries

·  2 Fire extinguishers A B C, least 5kg

·  Air horn or sound signalling device

·  Very High Frequency (VHF) radio     channel 16 or 156.8 MHz

·  Single Side Band (SSB) radio 2182 kHz

·  Radio Direction Finder (RDF) or

·  Satellite Navigation System (GPS)

·  Life-ring & line, least 9m

·  Life-raft, capable of accommodating all persons on board along with emergency supplies
