Excitement ran high at the Rubis Sports Club on Good Friday as the Barbados Fisheries Division (BFD) team took on the Black Fin Fleet (BFF) in a match of cricket. A pre-game of tug-of-war started off the jovial competition, with the Black Fin Fleet taking the men's title, and the BFD taking the women's.



The cricket ensued afterwards, and while competition was tough, the BFF made 100 runs before being bowled out while the BFD made apporximately 70 runs, declaring the BFF the winners.
The day was also an important milestone in the development of the fishing industry in Barbados. The official establishment of the Black Fin Fleet Co-operative Society Limited was highlighted. Registrar of Co-operatives and Friendly Societies Mr. Brent Gittens presented the Certificate of registration to Mr. Moonesh Dharampaul the Director of the Black Fin Fleet Co-operative Society Limited.
