It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Andrea Chapman affectionately known as 'Ann', an exceptional fisherlady and community leader in Pile Bay. She was fearless and well known for her passion and advocacy for encouraging women to pursue fishing.
Her sentiments and vision shared in the recently produced mini documentary 'The Barbadian Matriarchy of Fishing' will be a guiding light for how we engage youth and women in the fisheries sector in Barbados.
Her legacy will live on... Safe sailing Ann...
