The Barbados Fisheries Division, UNDP Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean Accelerator Lab and Uppercase Visuals present: The Barbadian Matriarchy of Fishing. A mini documentary featuring exceptional Bajan fisHERladies and a tribute to stalwarts that have passed on but their legacy lives on.
Through this production, our aim is to raise awareness of the importance of the role that women play in the fisheries sector in Barbados and the need for their participation in policy and decision-making. The mini-doc will communicate the importance of women’s contribution to the sustainable development of the sector.
