In commemoration of its 20th Anniversary, the Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism (CRFM) will convene a 4-day virtual Scientific Conference from 28-31 August 2023. The event will open at 10:30 a.m. AST (8:30 a.m. Belize time) on Monday, 28 August, with an official ceremony, after which we will proceed with presentations on several key thematic areas. The conference culminates with national reports from representatives of the 17 CRFM Member States on the status of their fisheries.
More than 100 authors are contributing to this signal anniversary event, with 50 papers+ scheduled for presentation over the duration of the conference. The papers from the conference will be compiled in a Special Scientific Publication, slated for release in October 2023. You can view the abstractsonline.
We anticipate the attendance of a diverse range of participants from across CRFM Member States, as well as our community of regional and international partners and donors.
The goal of this e-conference is to showcase our collective work over the decades while providing a space for networking, information exchange, and dialogue on a range of important topics.
